[nfbmi-talk] A Request from the Last Board Meeting

O man, so it seems to me that the membership committee was going to work on a number of things: 

1. At Large Chapter-
But then I think I saw that Dave had already scheduled a meeting of that chapter, was it last night?  I thought that the membership committee was going to talk about how to manage this chapter, keeping its members involved and giving mentorship and support to them.

2. Flint chapter-- organizing meeting and follow up support-- 

3. Grand Rapids Chapter-- on-going support. 

4. Volunteers for Braille Camp.  

Was it this committee that was going to put together a membership seminar for the affiliate?  The seminar was going to be planned for spring of 2015 which seems like a long way off, but we already have convention planning for the fall and the seminar would be like a mid-year convention.  Some of the things discussed for that seminar were: 

Reading NFB speeches for historical context; 
Doing some skill teaching to one another in cooking, travel, Braille. 
Identifying strengths that each individual has so that they can be matched with a sub-committee or task that will keep them involved. (OK maybe this last one was just an idea of mine and did not come from the Board meeting).  

That is all I can think of right now.
