[nfbmi-talk] student division question

Hello Dave,

Since when does the state student division need to seek the approval of the
state affiliate President to hold an event? The state student division has
its own board and its own treasury. As long as the state student division
board approves of the event and has the money in its own treasury, there
should be no need for any kind of special approval. I have never seen any
other chapter or division seek the approval of the state affiliate president
to hold an event, so why would it be any different for the state student
division?

Warm regards,
Elizabeth

Elizabeth,

The student division can hold an event if it is approved by the
president. If funds are requested then the board has to approve such an
expenditure. I do not know the plans as of yet, but as far as I know, the
board has recieved no report on any plans or any approval.
