Former HCIL head indicted for theft and embezzlement

Now-defunct organization provided aid to people with disabilities

The Maui News

The former executive director of the now-defunct Hawaii Center for
Independent Living - which had an office on Maui that aided 200 people with
disabilities
- has been indicted by a federal grand jury on three counts of embezzlement
and theft from an organization receiving federal funds.
