I know the below is not NFB sanctioned, but could serve as a helpful
point of reference.  The National Council on Disability is an
independent federal agency.  It would be great for some in the
Federation to reach out and help to shape the opinions of these folks,
if the NCD has real policymaking influence in Washington.

Comments or historical tidbits are quite welcome here, as I have no
point of reference with NCD and do not view it with prejudice, good or
bad. .

National Council on Disability to Host National Stakeholder Call on
Health Equity Framework for People with Disabilities


National Council on Disability (NCD) will host a public webinar on its
Health Equity Framework for People with Disabilities on February 23
from 2:00 – 2:45 p.m. (ET). After a culmination of meetings, outreach,
and consultation with a multi-disciplinary team of advisors, NCD
recently released its Health Equity Framework that offers a blueprint
for policymakers to address systemic barriers and health disparities
to achieve health equity for people with disabilities. Disability
community stakeholders are invited to the webinar where speakers will
include Andrés Gallegos, Chairman of NCD, Rick Rader, MD, Council
Member of NCD, Lisa lezzoni, MD, Harvard School of Medicine, and Neil
Romano, Council Member of NCD.
