Happy Wednesday, Federation Family
It is great to be reconnected with you all in 2024! I hope your holidays
were spent with an abundance of love and cheer. As we are getting ready for
so many exciting and innovative programs statewide in our affiliate, I
wonder if some of you may be interested in learning how to help our
affiliate generate the finances needed to do the impressive work of the
Federation. In 2024, the NFBMI fundraising committee is excited to present
novel ideas, leadership opportunities and skills that can both develop
lasting connections with blind people across the state and support programs
our members benefit from. These programs include:
* State Convention
* Student Leadership and STEM Programs (NFBMI REAL)
* Scholarship Programs
I am excited to invite you all to join me at the first NFBMI Fundraising
Committee meeting on Sunday, January 7 at 6pm. This is our first
introductory meeting, so we will have a single topic, which is goal setting.
Do you have a fundraising idea you would like the state affiliate to
consider? Let's discuss your idea, as well as unveil the first fundraising
project of 2024. You will not want to miss this meeting on our Zoom line,
which is below. For questions, please email me at President at nfbmi.org
