Good day Federation family and friends,

As we prepare for the 2024 National Federation of the Blind of Michigan
(NFBMI) State Convention, we are excited to share some of the key highlights
you won't want to miss! The event kicks off on October 31, and in the weeks
leading up to it, we will be posting information from sponsors and
exhibitors like The Bureau of Services for Blind Persons, one of our
platinum sponsors who will be holding a breakout session at the convention.
Keep an eye out for these updates to learn more about other amazing
products, services, and opportunities that will be available during the
event. This year's convention promises to be a memorable experience filled
with networking, learning, and opportunities to support the blind people's
movement. As always, we encourage you to share information about our state
convention with your family and friends! If you are posting on social media,
please use our hashtag for this year, which is NFBMI24

The Bureau of Services for Blind Persons (BSBP) offers a range of services,
including vocational rehabilitation for adults, youth and transition
services, and specialized programs such as the DeafBlind Services and the
Business Enterprise Program. Their commitment to inclusion and accessibility
ensures that people in Michigan have access to the support they need to
define and reach their personal goals, whether that's entering the
workforce, maintaining independence, or continuing education.

Join BSBP staff members on Saturday, November 2, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 4:00
PM, for an informational breakout session where BSBP will discuss the
services they offer, including vocational rehabilitation and the Independent
Living Older Blind Program. This session is a great opportunity to learn
more about the resources available to blind and visually impaired residents
of Michigan, including their comprehensive training center in Kalamazoo and
the Braille and Talking Book Library.
