Good morning, Michigan Federationists,

Some people truly look forward to Thursday evenings. Is it because we are
much closer to the weekend? Is it because we get great deals at the local
bar grill on wings? The answer is possibly, but today a few blind people are
excited because we have a special presentation we've been working on and
would love for you to join us for. The National Federation of the Blind of
Virginia's (NFBV) Greater Alexandria Chapter and members of the National
Federation of the Blind of Michigan have been hard at work discussing a
shared interest in accessible gaming. Please join the Greater Alexandria
Chapter this evening as they host a joint presentation with state secretary
Maryann Murad, Flint Genesee Chapter Member Shawn Williams and myself on
accessible console gaming, including a panel discussion and live
demonstration of blind people interacting with accessible gaming consoles
and their related games. This is both an opportunity for members to learn
about ways blind people have effected change in the gaming sphere and a way
for blind people to learn ways accessible gaming can become an avenue for
employment, leisure, or networking. If you believe this topic is of interest
to you, please join us this evening at 7:30pm by using the Zoom link below.
Be sure to indicate you are a member of the NFB of Michigan. We look forward
to your presence.
