You want Missouri? How about a bottle of
Riverboat Red.
Seek it out

Yep - it was exactly the unconscionably starter hootch that taught you
what a *real* headache could be!

Sorry, but it has to be *Missouri* el cheapo wine.
When I was in college there used to be some strawberry swill called
Boones Farm which may or may
not have been produced at a winery known as Boone's Farm near Augusta
that
now produces the real thing.
But I'm sure we can find some glucose-infused kool-aid blend
produced locally if we try hard enough.

There are a number of Missouri Winerys
Roachport
Hartsburg
Herman
Farmington
James Port
These are just a few I know of and I am sure there are more. Now when
it
comes to wine and quality, I don't have a clue how to choose.
Know how many bottles we should send?

I need your help. I like wine but know nothing about it. Do we have
Missouri
Wines? Do any of you have a recommendation as to what we should send?

Event
Please see the below message from the NFB Jernigan Institute team:
Dear Colleagues:
I hope that you are all having a wonderful 2010! We are gearing up
for
another amazing year packed with empowering programs and projects.
As
we are preparing for our annual Baltimore based fundraiser, The
Cane
Event, we are looking for items for our silent and live auctions, and
we
need your help! We are planning to put together a package of wines
from
the 52 affiliates of the Federation (assuming wine of some sort is
produced in your state). We are asking you to send a bottle of wine
that is native to your state to us for use in this auction package .
You could bring the bottle with you for the state presidents'
seminar,
or you can ship it to me. We'd like to have all the wine by April
1,
so
that we can package it up and make sure we have the description ready
for the evening's program.
All of the proceeds from The Cane Event go toward the Imagination
Fund,
which, as you know, helps to fund the work of our NFB Jernigan
Institute and our local affiliates. I want to thank you in advance
for
your participation. Please let me know if you have any questions or
need anything else from me. I look forward to seeing all of you
soon!
Sincerely,
Karen C. Zakhnini
