[Nfbmo] Convention Thoughts

Hi Gene:
I liked the way the lunch was done this year with
no program. It gives us a chance to get to know
each other better. Also, if your committee
meetings and division meetings are Friday, there
isn't as much need for a program at lunch. We
have the meetings on Friday, the sessions
Saturday morning and afternoon, the banquet that
night and then session again on Sunday. The
social lunch seemed to balance structure and
social time a bit more evenly. One thought about
hospitality. I noticed they ran out of water, or
in fact anything to drink about 3 hours early.
Next year maybe they can have pitchers of water
and disposable glasses. That might be cheaper
than bottled water and would still meet peoples
needs. One down side might be ice. Registration
was no problem. I don't remember all the
questions you had, but those are some of my
thoughts. On the whole I thought the convention went well.
Thanks
