Greetings Beginning Sunday June 24th City Utilities Transit Services will be installing new fareboxes on all fixed route buses theses new fareboxes are state of the art here are some things to know:


1. Only unfolded bills of to $20 will be accepted if you put in more money than what was needed for your fare the box will issue a change card that can be used as payment towards your next fare
2. Make sure your dollar bills are not torn, folded or have any writing on them the farebox will reject them
3. Coins must be inserted ONE AT A TIME the coin accepter cups are jam proof
4. City Utilities Transit Services are planning to transition to RFID "Smart Cards" starting with elderly and disabled passes sometime in 2013 meaning that when you renew your ellagliby card you will receive a rfid card with your picture on it you can load a 31 day pass or 30 rides or 60 rides on the card you can only use one at a time.
