[Nfbmo] Banquet question

We already give people tickets. People just need to make sure to bring them
to the dinner. Using an ID would be harder for members to read and thus pup
the job on our sighted members. We should have things set up so that any
member of our organization blind or sighted can do the job of checking
tickets.

If you're asking whether to require people to have actual pieces of paper as
tickets, you could just keep a list of people who paid, and maybe they'd
have to show their id's. That would still give you an accurate record of
attendees. Just a thought.

I have been asked about our policy regarding attending the banquet and
whether a ticket is required. By longstanding policy attending the banquet
does require a ticket. One cannot attend a dinner theater and argue they
need no ticket because they don't like the food or won't eat enough to make
it worthwhile for the purchase. We get the room and in fact some of our
meeting space based on the revenue expected from us in food sales, and the
banquet is a major source of that revenue.

The banquet will be spectacular. Please come and enjoy the meal and the
fellowship.

Gary
