Subject: Final Push to Ratify the CRPD

Dear Affiliate Presidents,

The final push is on to get the U.S. Senate to ratify the Convention on the
Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD). The senator(s) in your state who
have indicated they are undecided on how to vote on the CRPD are listed on
the attached document. I would appreciate it if you would email the attached
to your affiliate members and encourage them to call their listed senator(s)
this week to urge them to vote in favor of ratification.

If you have a personal relationship with any of these senators, please speak
with them personally to urge them to vote for ratification. Thank you in
advance for your assistance. If you have any questions, please feel free to
contact me at lblake at nfb.org or by phone at 410-659-9314, ext. 2221.

Best regards,

Lou Ann

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can have the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.
