[Nfbmo] Assistance with getting a bill in front of the Missouri legislature

Gary,
I don't know if refusing is the word I would use but based on past years -
not being able to get a hearing and no current plans to schedule a hearing -
it may well seem like refusal. I did talk with the Legislative Assistant
for the Elections Committee in the House and as of today, there is no
hearing in discussion. Please continue to call Rep. Entlicher in her
capacity as Chair and inquire about scheduling a hearing. Also, the Speaker
of the House is a key to a bill being scheduled for a hearing. I have made
an inquiry with Speaker Todd Richardson's office on behalf of the Federation
and expect a call back as soon as the individual I spoke with can check with
him. Rep Richardson has really been moving bills this year and so a few
calls to his office may be helpful.

Also, don't hesitate to ask your house member to talk to the Speaker aboutHB
1379.

Don't forget to follow-up on the visits you made during our Jeff City
Seminar and if you weren't able to participate in this year's Jeff City
Seminar, contact your representative. I am attaching the Legislative fact
sheet in the event someone that reads this has not read it yet.

Shelia Wright

What reason does she give for not wanting to move this bill along?
