Yes, you will get back paid to the date of application for Blind Pension. 
However, if FSD determines you are eligible for Supplemental Aid to the 
Blind  the back pay is only  effective for the month following the month of 
application.  Example: Application received by FSD on July 15 and approved 
in October.  For SAB you would get three checks and for BP you would get 
about three and a half checks in October. . I've seen applications approved 
in as little as 2 months and as much as 7 months.

Someone said that it takes 6 months to gget the blind pention. Is that true?
If so, will you get back pay?
