[Nfbmo] question about re4cent news

Hello,
Just to weigh in on this with my 2 cents, I agree with Gary and our national office. We should allow him to sink himself with the court of public opinion. The only time I would think that the NFB would want to take a stand would be if there is a backwards enough judge that buys the smelly pile. In that instance, it would probably be in the interest of the organization and those we represent to come out swinging. It is the right of the accused to choose a defense regardless of how ridiculous it may be. It is the responsibility of the judge to sort it out.

Roger

Hello, Amy. The communications team for the national office discussed this earlier, and we believe that people will be disgusted enough by it that we need not pile on. It is probably more important for us to engage when the attempt to manipulate the courts and the public's opinion is less obvious.

Warmly,

Gary

Hi
I just learned that Bill Cosby is using an excuse of being too blind to defend himself. It has made national news. The thing that bothers me is that people/ society think this is an acceptable thing. Is there anything we can do in the NFB to change this? I just feel after having success of the How I see it campaign that there might be something we could do as an organization.
If anyone is interested its in the Hughington post issue for today.
