Gary,

 

This is Kyle Borah. I hope everything is well with your family and the
Federation in the new year. I Am still here in Missouri going back to school
and finishing up my degree. I am still subscribed to the NFBMO list and see
things that are happening from time to time. I wanted to let you all know of
an opportunity that is happening here in St. Louis for adaptive sports:
specifically blind hockey.

 

To keep this message short, We are working on starting a blind hockey team
here in STL. As you can see from the forwarded email below, we are getting
some partnerships from the St. Louis Blues to help us out in this endeavor. 

 

We are looking for anyone who is wanting to investigate blind hockey and
wants to learn more to come to the try blind hockey event detailed below on
the 18th. You do not need to know how to ice-skate, but it is preferred. You
also do not need to have any equipment. Everyone just needs to come and have
a good time.

 

If you could share this to the greater list and any other Missouri or St.
Louis related lists that might want to know about this event that would be
great. I figured it might look better coming from you than just some random
email spam promoting an event.

Hello everyone,

 

We have been hard at work getting our Blind Hockey Program developed and
have an exciting event coming.  You will see social media posts and things
starting next week for another Try Blind Hockey event Thursday, January
18th.  We hope you can make it!

 

This event will be at the Scottrade Center, home of the St. Louis Blues

Doors open at 6:00

Ice Time will be 7:00 - 8:00

Players will be joined on the ice by St. Louis Blues Alumni and the usual
volunteers

 

This event is free.

 

Registration page will go live in the coming days.

 

Hope you can make it.

 

During this event a video will be filmed and featured on the massive new
scoreboard during the Blues vs. Senators game, January 23rd.
