[NFBMO] Follow-Up On ABLE Accounts Presentation At State Convention

Some of you may recall that our speaker was asked about how ABLE accounts
worked for people on Blind Pension. Below is what she learned and her
response back to us.

Finally! I have an answer.  I spoke with the Missouri Blind Pension today
regarding the impact of ABLE accounts and a recipient's Blind Pension
benefit.  A person can have up to $100,000 in his or her ABLE and have no
impact on his or her pension.  If that person is married to someone with an
ABLE account who is not a Blind Pension recipient, the spouse's ABLE can be
greater than $100,000 with no impact on the Blind Pension benefit.

 

Please share with your group as this was a question many had.  Also, several
asked for my contact information.  That information is included below.
