[NFBMO] Taking good luck and good fortune for granted

Thank you, Gary, for your message. I went to a board meeting in June, because it was two miles from my house, and I thought it would be crazy for me not to take the opportunity to go, and gain an understanding for what goes on at those meetings. I found that not only did I learn a lot from being there, but I had opportunities to be a part of discussions. Fortunately, I was given the opportunity to attend again in September, because members from my chapter had room for me, and were willing to have me along. Every time I attend an NFB of Missouri function, I truly feel as if it's a chance to visit with my family. Last year, after the Jeff City walk, it was family who took us all in out of the rain, and allowed us to enjoy each other's company in their home, as well as getting those of us who had to catch the train that evening, to the station. I also very much enjoyed the fellowship and food at the picnic following the September meeting. I do really feel blessed to be able to reconnect with old friends, and get to know them again, as part of my new family, and to be able to meet and get to know so many new friends. Also, I have always believed in the saying that it takes a village to raise a child. Up until I walked through the doors of my first NFB chapter meeting, I felt as if I was alone in the trials and triumphs with my girls. I can honestly say now, that I believe I have found my village! Thank you all!
