[NFBMO] FW: I need your help!

If people pay using our PayPal account then we either have to charge them extra for the transaction or we have to pay the transaction fee ourselves.

There is an app out there called Venmo which is similar to PayPal but does not have a transaction fee. I know of a few NFB affiliates and special interest groups who use it and apparently don't have any issues with it. I know the NFB Performing Arts division has used it for a while now and I saw some other state affiliates listed as well.

The phone app is very easy to use and set up as I recall. I don't use it much but I have used it a few times in the past.

If we don't want to do that then I think we have to go with things as they are.

If we all exert as much effort selling tickets as we are with this discussion then we should have a very successful fundraiser.

No the affiliate does not have a debit card. I thought we discussed letting
people pay by using our paypal account. I bring the question up because we
had people at our trivia night questioning us letting people who had bought
tickets for our raffle be the ones drawing the winning tickets because
occasionally they would pick their ticket. We just want to look above board
in our financial transactions. Of course our family members won't question
us. Just food for thought.
