I'm not available during this time due to class. I find it shameful that a meeting was scheduled in secret without input from committee members. As such, I would recommend that committee members not attend this meeting in protest of how this meeting was scheduled. What a shameful way to conduct business.

Good evening Everyone,

There have been requests to have a Governmental Affairs Meeting.    In the interest of wrapping up our efforts with this legislative session, it certainly makes sense to meet and discuss where we are and where we need to focus our efforts as the session wraps up.  I spoke with President Wright earlier and we decided to schedule a meeting for next Thursday, May 13th at 7 PM.  Please add this time to your calendar and I’ll send out the Zoom information early next week.

Anyone interested in attending the meeting is welcome to attend.

A huge thanks to all of the Governmental Affairs Committee members for all of your hard work during the session.  We accomplished a lot by getting the BRITE Act introduced and seeing it at least make it to committee.  You accomplished much, and I thank you.
