[NFBMO] Governmental Affairs Meeting

I would like to ask when you made the first request. I had a week or more while I was fighting with a hacker that took control of my email. Every time I thought I had regained control, the hacker found a way to regain control. Even as I was locking them out for good, they forwarded my email to their Inbox. It took nearly a week for me to get the emails sent back to my Inbox. Anything sent during that time is lost to me for good. I apologize for whatever I’ve done to anger you so much.

I have always done my level best to work with the schedule of the majority. As far as impacting the outcome of our priorities for this year, with the exception of the recording bills, I don’t see how we could possibly get the legislation across the finish line.

I have never tried to schedule any of our meetings in some secretive way. It was simply that I consulted with the state President to schedule around the busy schedule of the federation while scheduling in a timely manner. Thank you again to the committee for all you do.

As such, I would recommend that committee members not attend this meeting in protest of how this meeting was scheduled. What a shameful way to conduct business.

>> Good evening Everyone,
>> There have been requests to have a Governmental Affairs Meeting. In the interest of wrapping up our efforts with this legislative session, it certainly makes sense to meet and discuss where we are and where we need to focus our efforts as the session wraps up. I spoke with President Wright earlier and we decided to schedule a meeting for next Thursday, May 13th at 7 PM. Please add this time to your calendar and I’ll send out the Zoom information early next week.
>> Anyone interested in attending the meeting is welcome to attend.
>> A huge thanks to all of the Governmental Affairs Committee members for all of your hard work during the session. We accomplished a lot by getting the BRITE Act introduced and seeing it at least make it to committee. You accomplished much, and I thank you.
>> Take care,
>> Roger
