    My name is Cory McMahon, and I’ve decided to run for the NFB of Missouri board of Directors during elections to occur this weekend at our 60th state convention.



    For the past several years, I’ve served on the affiliate governmental Affairs committee, providing input on the issues which are taken to Jefferson City and spoken about with members of the legislature and other state officials, including the office of the Governor.



    More recently, I’ve served on our Mission BEAM committee through which we are creating a program to assist the blind and visually-impaired youth of Missouri to build skill sets important for leading productive, independent, self-sufficient lives.



    I look forward to joining the NFB of Missouri Board of Directors to have important conversation in order to further shape the policy and programs of the affiliate.
