[Nfbmt] subminimum wage debate

I heard on the news today that fast food workers are walking off the job
today protesting the fact that they're only getting minimum wage, and they
think the minimum wage should be raised to fifteen dollars an hour.
President Obama gave a speech in which he noted the disappearance of the
middle class, and the lack of higher paying jobs such as in manufacturing
that enable people to make a decent living.  If you work hard, you should be
paid a living wage.  The minimum wage is so low that it is not keeping pace
with the cost of living.  If this is being debated, imagine how someone
making less than minimum wages must feel.  What a slap in the face.  Maybe
President Obama should address that in a speech.  Joy
