I just learned of this phone conference. I may try and phone in.
It is the Nebraska senior blind monthly meeting.
But I have been told anyone can phone in if they wish.
Here is the information.

#2 Ruth Sager Bio
Ruth Sager has been employed at Blind Industries and Services of
Maryland(BISM) for the past 18 years. She developed the senior program of
center-based training, SAIL, Seniors Achieving Independent Living in 2001.
This program has now expanded to two other locations in Maryland including
Salisbury on the Eastern Shore and Cumberland and Hackerstown in Western
Maryland.
Seniors achieve independence through training of cane travel, Braille
literacy, computer and technology using speech screen reading, and daily
living skills plus adjustment to blindness training.
Ruth is the coordinator of Senior Services at Blind Industries and creates
outreach opportunities especially workshop events statewide, coordinates
presentations and plans and executes a yearly senior residential retreat.
She is responsible for training the staff who work with seniors as well as
provide guidance for other professionals in the field who call upon the BISM
rehabilitation department for expertise in blindness skills training.
Ruth received a BA degree from the University of Wisconsin—Eau Claire and
taught English at the French high school for the Blind in Paris, France.
She then did post graduate studies at the university of Brussels in the
political economic development of international organizations.
Ruth is married with three adult children and two grandchildren. Her
hobbies are baking, reading and knitting. She has over 30 years of teaching
experience in the blindness field including six years as a cane travel
instructor and Independent Living teacher at the Louisiana center for the
Blind. Ruth is president of the Baltimore County chapter of the NFB and the
president of the Maryland senior division.
