[NFBMT] Coming to a phone near you if it isn't already there

Same with cheap airlines. A penny a minute is sixty cents an hour. That's not
particularly outrageous, unless you weren't expecting it. It's better than ten
cents a minute.

Jim et al,
I guess if you want "cheap" phone service, it will cost you. Years ago I saw
a cartoon about a car salesman and the customer looking at a "fuel efficient
car" saying, "If you want cheap mileage, it's going to cost you". We just
can't get ahead of things like this.

Hi all,

When coming on today's board conference call, I heard an announcement that I
was calling out of my area and I'd be charged a penny a minute if i let the
call go through! I never had this with Verizon or ATT. When I inquired after
the call, the rep said I'd pay no more than a penny a minute when placing this
call through T-Mobile, my present carrier. This could come out in the wash
since I'm paying considerably less for unlimited service through them than I
paid through ATT. The rep continued that this has been going on for two months
where people would incur charges for conference calls. He insists I wouldn't
pay more than a penny a minute for conference calls with T-Mobile. He insists
this is industry wide as of two months. Look at your bill to see whether there
are extra charges for conference calls. I'm checking my options here! I
wouldn't panic yet! I'm investigating further!

Jim
