Anyone can sign up for a Zoom account for free.  Free meetings are usually
limited to 40 minutes maximum.  If you want to try it, set up an account at
Zoom.com, find another person to meet with, and have fun!

Also, you don't have to set up an account to join a Zoom meeting.  If you
get the invitation/meeting directions from another person, you can simply
click on a link or type in the telephone number and meeting ID, and you're
in a Zoom meeting.  The ease of use is why Zoom is so popular these days.
It is by far the most relaxed way to join a video and/or audio conference,
and you can do it on pretty much any device from a telephone to a computer
to a smart phone.

I'm not sure the National Convention will be conducted entirely with Zoom.
Due to the size and complexity of the NFB Convention, I suspect another
service may be used.  I do not know this for certain, and make my guess on
knowing the capabilities of Zoom.  I use Zoom a great deal in my work, and
it functions well for blind users.  However, Zoom may not be robust enough
to handle such a large convention as ours.  We will have to wait and see
what video conferencing system will be used.  For sure, I bet Zoom will be
used for some parts of our National Convention, though.  Also, I bet there
will be multiple ways to join our Convention.  Nice thing about technology
is that there are always many ways to get a thing done.  Those who attend
our Convention will enjoy choosing the best way for themselves.  That's
pretty cool even if it's still just my personal prediction and not official
information.
