Subject: National Association of Blind Students Blind Equality Achievement Month Event!

 

Dear Affiliate and Student Division Presidents,

 

As we get closer to Blind Equality Achievement Month, BEAM, formally Meet the Blind Month, the National Association of Blind Students fundraising committee couldn’t resist the opportunity to raise some funds and have some fun. We are hosting a nationwide trivia night, and we are asking for your support to make it a success. 

 

What is so special about this trivia night? In addition to learning more about BEAM, it’s an opportunity to raise money for your state! We are awarding the state student division that performs the best during trivia with 25 percent of the proceeds raised. If your state does not have a student division, we will gift the funds to the affiliate instead.

 

Do you need to be a blind student to participate? No, in line with BEAM spirit, we welcome all to participate in the fundraiser. In fact, we encourage Federation members to invite friends, family, and members of the community to learn about our movement and take part in some fun competition. 

 

The event will be held virtually on Saturday, October 16th at 8:00 pm Eastern, and the entrance fee to play is $5.
