VRBS Recognizes National Disability Employment Awareness Month

National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) is held each October
to commemorate the many and varied contributions of people with disabilities
to America's workplaces and economy. The theme for NDEAM 2021, "America's
Recovery: Powered by Inclusion," reflects the importance of ensuring that
people with disabilities have full access to employment and community
involvement during the national recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The documentary is a story of employment possibilities and community impact
that is resonating with employers, job seekers, family members and service
providers.

The event will open with a special welcome by the Montana Director of the
Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) Adam Meier, and then
there will be an interactive panel featuring speakers from the film,
presenting organizations, and community partners.

Hearts of Glass follows the first 15 months of operation of Vertical Harvest
(VH) based in Jackson, Wyoming - a state-of-the-art hydroponic greenhouse
that provides meaningful, inclusive employment for people with disabilities.
The documentary weaves the story of VH's launch with the personal journeys
of employees with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Plants and
people grow together in this intimate portrait of innovation, inclusion and
impact.
