Greetings:

 

The 2011 convention of the National Federation of the Blind will be here in
a few short weeks! I am looking forward to seeing all of you in Lincoln for
this fun, empowering and inspirational gathering.

 

Here are a few things you'll want to know:

 

Dates of Convention: October 14-16

 

LOCATION: Cornhusker Marriott: 333 South 13th

 

ROM RATES: $82.00 per night for singles, triples and quads

Be sure to mention the group name, "National Federation of the Blind" in
order to receive the discounted room rate.

 

RESERVATION DEADLINE: October 1, 2011

 

CONVENTION PRE-REGISTRATION: Online and mail pre-registration are available!
To complete your registration, visit  <http://www.ne.nfb.org/>
www.ne.nfb.org.  Online registrants will have the luxury of paying by credit
card through PayPal.  If you prefer to pay by check or money order with a
paper registration, feel free to print out the form from the website above
and mail them to:  Cheryl Livingston, NFBN treasurer, 1026 S. 35th Street,
Lincoln, NE  68510. 

Save money by pre-registering before October 7th!  Prices for each of the
convention items listed will increase by $5.00 per item if you choose to
register at the hotel.  For those wishing to register on-site, registration
will begin on Friday, October 14th at 9:00 AM and will continue through
Saturday morning.  

 

Advance registration prices per person: 

Convention registration             $15 

Banquet                                    $35

Senior division luncheon           $5

Student division luncheon          $20 

 

 

You'll want to make plans now to join us in Lincoln October 14-16.
Interesting to note, this is the first convention in some years that has not
competed with a Husker game.
