Enhance Braille and Nonvisual Skills with Us


The National Federation of the Blind is offering in-person and in-home opportunities! Our in-person programs across the nation and our NFB BELL Academy In-Home Edition will help prepare blind and low-vision children to grow into confident and independent blind people by enhancing their education.

*	Phoenix, Arizona - May 30-June 10
*	Tucson, Arizona - July 18-29
*	Littleton, Colorado - June 6-17
*	Berlin, Connecticut - August 8-12 *Residential
*	Rathdrum, Idaho - August 14-19 *Residential
*	Chicago, Illinois - July18-29
*	Springfield, Illinois - August 1-5 *Residential
*	Louisville, Kentucky - July 25-29
*	Ruston, Louisiana *Program is now FULL
*	Baltimore, Maryland - July 25-August 5
*	St. Louis, Missouri - July 18-29
*	Kansas City, Missouri - July 18-29
*	Perth Amboy, New Jersey - July 18-29 *Open only to New Jersey residents
*	Columbus, Ohio  - August 7-12 *Residential
*	Portland, Oregon - June 20-July 1
*	Sunset, South Carolina - June 11-17 *Residential

In-Home Edition

The NFB BELL Academy virtual In-Home Edition program will take place July 18-August 5, 2022. The deadline to apply to the in-home edition program is May 1.

About NFB BELL

NFB BELL Academy, an annual summer program, is appropriate for blind and low-vision children, ages four to twelve, who:

*	Do not receive enough Braille and nonvisual skills instruction in school
*	Could benefit from more Braille exposure over the summer
*	Would enjoy connecting with blind role models
