Subject: Kaytlyn Hilligas Resignation
Good afternoon NCBVI,
Kaytlyn Hilligas has made the difficult decision to resign from her position with the Nebraska Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired. Her last day with the agency will be September 30, 2026, as she relocates to Sioux Falls, South Dakota, to be closer to her family and friends.
While we are certainly sad to see Kaytlyn leave, we are grateful for the dedication, compassion, and professionalism she has brought to NCBVI over the past three years. Throughout her time with the agency, she has made a meaningful impact on the individuals and families she has served, particularly in the areas of transition services, independent living skills, and employment readiness. Her willingness to support colleagues, take on new initiatives, and advocate for Nebraskans who are blind or visually impaired has been greatly appreciated.
Kaytlyn has generously provided an extended notice to help ensure a smooth transition for the agency, our staff, and the individuals we serve. We appreciate her commitment to assisting with transition planning over the coming weeks.
Please join me in thanking Kaytlyn for her many contributions to NCBVI and wishing her all the best as she begins her next chapter. We know she will continue to make a positive difference wherever her career takes her.
Pam
