Hello Lincoln Chapter Members and Friends,

Saturday is shaping up to be a beautiful day! The forecast is calling for a
high of 84 degrees, making it a perfect day for food, fellowship, baseball,
and Federation fun. We are excited to spend the day with all of you!

PICNIC INFORMATION

Our picnic will be held at Roberts Park, located at 58th and Sumner Street
in Lincoln.

Hog Wild BBQ will arrive around 2:00 p.m., so feel free to begin arriving
around 1:30 p.m. We will have games available throughout the afternoon, and
tandem bike rides will also be available for anyone who would like to take a
spin.

The cost of the picnic is $10 per person. Please bring exact cash or a check
payable to the NFB of Nebraska Lincoln Chapter (NFBNLC). Picnic payments
should be given to Audra Kramer.

Driving Directions:

The side of Roberts Park where our activities will take place is on 58th
Street between Franklin Street and Sumner Street on the west side.

>From South Street, go north on 58th Street two blocks. Just before Sumner
Street, there is a parking lot off 58th Street. You may park in this lot and
take the sidewalk from the parking lot to the shelter.

>From A Street, go south on 58th Street to Sumner Street. Just south of
Sumner Street there is a parking lot off 58th Street. You may park in this
lot and take the sidewalk from the parking lot to the shelter.

Walking Directions:

If walking from South Street, head to 58th Street and walk north on the west
side of the street. Cross two streets and continue approximately one block
until you find a sidewalk leading into the park. Follow the winding sidewalk
to the shelter.

If walking from A Street, head to 58th Street and walk south on the west
side of the street. Cross three streets. After the third street, you will
find the park parking lot on your right. Just past the parking lot is a
sidewalk leading to the shelter. Follow the winding sidewalk to the shelter.

Transportation information for those who requested rides will be sent
separately.

SALTDOGS GAME INFORMATION

Following the picnic, we will head over to Haymarket Park for our Night at
the Ballpark fundraiser.

Tickets are $20 each and must be paid separately from the picnic. Please
bring exact cash or a check payable to the NFB of Nebraska Lincoln Chapter
(NFBNLC). Ticket payments should be given to Jeremy Richey.

All game tickets will be available for pickup at Will Call on the day of the
game. Will Call is located just to the right of the main gates.

As many of you may have heard, the Saltdogs and the Chicago Dogs got into a
little "dogfight" with Mother Nature earlier this month. Due to a rainout in
Chicago on June 11, the Saltdogs have added an extra game to Saturday's
schedule.

Here is what that means:

. The regularly scheduled game that we have tickets for is still scheduled
to begin at 6:05 p.m.

. However, your ticket now gets you into BOTH games of a doubleheader.

. The first game will begin at 3:05 p.m.

. Gates will open at 2:00 p.m. and remain open throughout both games.

. If you would like to attend the earlier game, you may do so at no
additional charge.

We also have some special Federation moments planned:

. Amy Eidenmiller will be throwing out the first pitch.

. President Nancy Coffman will be participating in a radio interview during
the third inning.

. Be sure to bring your radios so you can listen along.

. We do have four small radios available to borrow if needed, though you may
wish to bring your own headphones.

Other activities taking place at the ballpark include a visit from several
Husker Volleyball players who will be signing autographs and taking photos
with fans from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., as well as an Ameritas volleyball
giveaway for the first 1,000 fans beginning at 5:00 p.m.

One final note: We are expecting approximately 70 people to join us for the
picnic, but currently only about 45 people are attending the ball game. We
need to sell 50 tickets in order to receive the fundraiser proceeds from the
Saltdogs, so we are just 5 tickets short of our goal.

If you would like to attend the game and have not yet reserved your ticket,
please let us know by Wednesday night. We would love to reach our goal and
maximize the fundraising benefit for the chapter. Feel free to invite family
members, friends, neighbors, coworkers, or anyone else who might enjoy a fun
evening at the ballpark while supporting the National Federation of the
Blind of Nebraska Lincoln Chapter.

We are excited to see everyone and look forward to a fun-filled Federation
day of food, fellowship, baseball, and friendship.
