Do you believe we should change a government policy, take a stand on
accessibility, address concerns about an agency or service for the blind,
commend an individual or organization for exemplary service and support, or
propose new regulations? If so, please consider writing a resolution.

Resolutions adopted by the convention serve as official statements of policy
that guide the actions and direction of our organization for the coming
year. For that reason, they deserve thoughtful consideration.

Any member may sponsor a resolution. Draft resolutions must be submitted to
the President or the Chairperson of the Resolutions Committee no later than
Friday, April 9, 2026. Resolutions that receive favorable consideration by
the committee will be brought before the convention for discussion and
action.

Resolutions that do not receive favorable consideration by the committee
will not advance to the convention floor unless the sponsor requests that
they be considered despite the committee's decision.

No resolution will be reviewed by the committee unless a proponent is
present at the committee meeting to explain the need for the resolution.
This will typically be the author.

The Resolutions Committee may offer limited assistance with drafting;
however, resolutions should be in essentially final form when submitted to
the President or the Chairperson.

Amy Buresh of Lincoln serves as Chairperson of this year's committee. Her
contact information is:

Address: 411 N 75th St., Lincoln, NE 68505
Mobile: (402) 440-4722
Email: amy.buresh74 at gmail.com <mailto:amy.buresh74 at gmail.com>

The first meeting of the Resolutions Committee will be held on Friday, May 1
at our 2026 State Convention in Kearney and will be listed in the convention
program, which you will receive at registration. Additional meetings may be
scheduled during the convention as needed.

As we prepare for this year's convention, we also want to extend our
heartfelt appreciation to Barbara Loos for her dedicated service and
leadership. Her steady guidance, commitment, and thoughtful work have made a
lasting impact on our organization. We wish her well on her road to
recovery. She truly leaves big shoes to fill, and we are grateful for the
strong foundation she helped build for those who follow.
