[Nfbnet-members-list] Low-vision adults needed for data visualization study

The below research participant solicitation is being provided for informational purposes only. The National Federation of the Blind has no involvement in this research, but we believe that it may contribute to our research mission.



We are a research group at the University of Wisconsin-Madison studying chart accessibility. We are looking for participants to join our study! This study aims at understanding how low vision people read charts and graphs using a browser. Our goal is to develop technology for people with low vision to support data consumption without having a specialized device.



We are looking for participants who 1) are at least 18 years old, 2) are legally blind, 3) have a remaining vision, and 4) use screen magnifiers or inverted color browsers to read information online.



In the study, participants will be asked to examine web pages that contain charts and graphs and share their experiences. It will take around an hour, and participants' time will be compensated with $25 of a gift card.
