Call for Student Applicants


Deadline Extended- December 14th!










Hi NextGen Alum,

The application deadline is extended to December 14th for the 2019 Disability:IN Mentorship Exchange<https://disabilityin.org/what-we-do/nextgen-leaders/mentorship-exchange/> and Talent Accelerator<https://disabilityin.org/what-we-do/nextgen-leaders/talent-accelerator/> programs! The Mentorship Exchange is a six-month career mentoring opportunity to college students and recent graduates, including veterans, with disabilities. The Talent Accelerator is an intensive two-day networking and career development opportunity that takes place during the Disability:IN Annual Conference. In 2018, we had 90 mentees end the program with new employment. Also in the Talent Accelerator program, we ended the conference week with 35 job offers extended to our students and recent graduates.

Key benefits to participation:

  *   Professional development on topics such as disability disclosure, interviewing, negotiating, networking, financial education and much more.
  *   Mentorship- everyone needs mentors. In fact, you should have multiple mentors who will guide you and show you how to navigate opportunities and life curveballs. Our mentors have been there and done that. Learning from our mentors is critical towards your success.
  *   Connections to the private sector- having relationships with Disability:IN corporate partners<https://disabilityin.org/who-we-are/corporate-partners/> is incredibly valuable. We push for you to have connections with managers, recruiters, executives and employers in your field. The more connections the more possibilities you could land.
  *   Connections to community in support of disabled talent- you are not alone in your journey towards success while navigating a disability. We believe in you, and you will meet tons of peers to share your thoughts and journey with.
