Dear Fellow Federationists',

It is with great sadness that I share the news of the passing of our dear
friend Jerry Fontenelli. Jerry passed away suddenly on Monday, December 9,
2019 at his home in Toms River, NJ.

At 89 years Jerry was an active member in the NFBNJ (a member of the At
Large Chapter; Senior, Sports and Recreation and Technology Divisions) and
known for his warmth, wonderful sense of humor and his generosity. Oh
yes-his singing. He often reached out to his NFBNJ friends and would leave a
song on their phone with perfect pitch and great enthusiasm. Jerry will be
missed by all of us. His family has requested that in lieu of flowers
donations be made to the NFBNJ in Jerry's memory. As noted below, checks in
Jerry's memory may be made out to NFBNJ and mailed to:

Joe Ruffalo, President

National Federation of the Blind of New Jersey

The following is a copy of his obituary with details of his wake and funeral
service:

Warmly, Joe
