Greetings to all!
Read below and share with others.
I did call Dr. Davis to congratulate her with the appointment of the duties
and responsibilities as Executive Director of the NJ CBVI.
I received a phone call this morning from Deputy Commissioner of DHS, Elisa
Neira informing me of the appointment.
We wish Dr. Bernice Davis good fortune as the Executive Director and I and
the membership of the National Federation of the Blind of New Jersey are
looking forward to working together to make a difference to raise
expectations to transform dreams into reality.
The announcement follows my signature block.
Warmly,
Joe

Subject: Commissioner Johnson Announces Dr. Bernice Davis as New CBVI
Executive Director
DHS Colleagues:
I am very pleased to announce that Dr. Bernice Davis will be the new
executive director of the New Jersey Commission for the Blind and Visually
Impaired (CBVI).
Bernice has served the Department of Human Services since 1995 and has made
significant contributions to the blind and visually impaired in New Jersey
in her work with the CBVI since 2005.
Bernice has been an outstanding leader as the acting executive director,
helping guide the CBVI's services for the 300,000 residents of New Jersey
who are blind, vision impaired or deaf-blind.
I look forward to her continued great work.
Please join me in congratulating Bernice.
Commissioner Carole Johnson
