Pay close attention to the deadline of noon wednesday, April 22.

Subject: 👉 IMPORTANT ALERT: SSA and Treasury Announce APRIL 22nd Deadline

The following information is being forwarded by the NJ Commission for the 
Blind and Visually Impaired as a courtesy, in accordance with our continued 
efforts to share information that may be of interest or of benefit to 
individuals who are blind, visually impaired and deafblind.



The IRS has begun issuing economic impact payments to eligible people. SSI 
and SSDI beneficiaries are eligible as long as they meet income guidelines.

People who receive SSI and SSDI will receive economic impact payments even 
if those beneficiaries did not file tax returns in 2018 or 2019. However, 
the IRS will not automatically issue payments for child dependents of those 
SSI and SSDI beneficiaries who did not file tax returns.

SSI and SSDI beneficiaries who have child dependents and did not file tax 
returns in 2018 or 2019 must go to 
https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/non-filers-enter-payment-info-here and 
provide the IRS with the dependent information. In order for this additional 
money to be included with the beneficiary’s economic impact payment, this 
information must be provided by noon, Eastern Time, tomorrow, Wednesday, 
April 22, 2020. SSI beneficiary payments will not be issued until early May, 
so SSI beneficiaries have a few more days to fill out the form. However, for 
any individual, once the economic impact payment has been issued, will only 
receive the money for a dependent upon filing a 2020 tax return.
