Get ready to receive the gift of the National Federation of the Blind with
educational, motivational and inspirational seminars, workshops, divisions,
committees, groups, general sessions, President Riccobono's opening remarks
and the highlights during the banquet and the presentation of the national
scholarship class of 2020 as our 2020 Convention will begin in less than 24
hours and we are all excited!  This is our first Virtual Convention and all
7,251 of us are first timers.

We will be highlighting the following items of interest for first timers,
honoring national scholarship recipients, reviewing resolutions, overview of
national and state legislation, fundraising Opportunities, gifts To Our

2.    Affiliate Banquet Party:  Like everything else at this year's
convention our traditional banquet will be a little different this year but
with some features we know that you'll like! So, mark your calendar for
Saturday, July 18 at 7 PM for the traditional convention banquet as an
affiliate via the zoom platform.

 

Imagine first of all it's free! No extra cost secondly no need for banquet
exchange we will all be sitting in the comfort of our respective homes.
Also, you can eat whatever you want - - from hotdogs to salads to something
more elaborate. And you can wear whatever you want sit in your cut off's and
flip-flops; no worries about neckties hosiery and make up. Will be
discussing this at length at our state affiliate caucus Friday the 17th at
11 AM but do mark your calendars for Saturday the 18th at 7 for fellowship;
banquet begins at 7:30

events). If you want to attend please complete a quick form in order to get
the Zoom link for the tour you want to take. Once the form is completed you
will receive an email with the appropriate link(s).

6.    Give $20 Campaign to support the Jernigan First Timers Scholarship and
win prizes

Your generosity is still needed to fund our great programs. When you give
$20 or more between May 15 and July 18 noon ET, you will be entered into the
Kenneth Jernigan Convention Drawing to win the following:
Round-trip transportation for two for the 2021 NFB National Convention

Hotel at the convention
Registration and banquet tickets for two
$1,000 in walking-around cash
