The National Federation of the Blind of New Jersey is proud to invite all to 
a Zoom Town Hall meeting with Vanessa Lombardo, Outreach Coordinator for 
Bookshare.



Vanessa formerly the director of the Assistive Technology Department of 
Advancing Opportunities. She has worked in the field of AT for the past 15 
years. Vanessa was an Assistive Technology Specialist for Elwyn Inc., which 
had a contract with CBVI to support students who had a visual impairment, as 
well as another disability, prior to her work at Advancing Opportunities.



Bookshare is an online accessible library for people with disabilities. The 
Bookshare library has 870,875 titles of accessible ebooks. The library 
includes books for school, career, and reading pleasure, as well as titles 
in over 34 languages. Members can download and read books on a variety of 
platforms including on a computer, a smart phone or tablet, or a dedicated 
braille device. Anyone can peruse the books in the library at 
www.bookshareorg.



After familiarizing yourself with Bookshare, submit general questions in 
advance of the call by email to  Linda Melendez at

and contact information.
