Hello all,

The Assisted Support Programs for Independence, Renewal and Education
(ASPIRE) are consumer led support groups for those who have shared
experiences with vision loss. CBVI has over 60 support groups across NJ
covering all 21 counties. While attending ASPIRE you can learn tips and
techniques, experience social outings and events and enjoy various
speakers. Groups are now meeting in-person and/or virtually via phone and
online.

ASPIRE is offering some new peer-support group opportunities.

ASPIRE now has a support group for Parents who are Blind, Visually
Impaired, Deaf Blind raising small children (pre-school through elementary)
and is searching for a consumer volunteer to assist with facilitating the
group.  Group facilitators will be invited to participate in ASPIRE
Facilitator's trainings and will have access to a variety of  resource
information.

Two additional consumer peer support groups being formed are:

   1. Technology group - for consumers ages 21-54
   2. Newly adjusting to vision loss - for consumers ages 20-30 years of
   age.

There may be an ASPIRE group that is the right fit for you. For more
information, please contact your CBVI caseworker, call 877-685-8878 or
