Dear friends and community members,


We cordially invite you and individuals served by your organization to a
free concert and exhibit, entitled *Blind Visionaries, on Wednesday, April
12 at 7:00 p.m. at the Shea Center for Performing Arts at William Paterson
University in Wayne, NJ. *See attached flyer for details. Please feel free
to share with your network. Audio description will be integrated into the

Creator Daniel Kelly is an innovative composer, pianist and conceptualist
who has been called “stunningly original” with “a visionary imagination.” A
prolific composer and tireless musical explorer, Kelly has an uncanny ear
for music and storytelling and his deep sense of empathy and humanity make
for performances that leave audiences uplifted and curious for more.


Daniel Kelly created Blind Visionaries because of his passion for the
stunning images made by the blind and visually impaired photographers of
The Seeing With Photography Collective at the Center for the Blind in
Manhattan. Inspired by these incredible photos and the fascinating process
of “light painting” used to create them, Kelly composed music that captures
and amplifies the emotional quality of the photos.


He also created 10 different films that are projected onto the video screen
during the performance. Viewers are immersed in the stunning visual world
of The Seeing with Photography Collective. Audience members also get to
hear from the artists themselves as artist interviews are interwoven in the
video presentation.


Works from The Seeing with Photography Collective are on display in the
Shea Center lobby until April 12. The Shea Center lobby is open to the
public, Monday- Friday, 10:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m., and one hour prior to
performances.
