Greetings to all Chapter/Division/Committee Presidents, Chairs, Members and
Friends of the Blind,

 

The National Federation of the Blind of New Jersey will be holding its tenth
In-Person BELL Academy in August 2023. The National Federation of the
Blind's Braille Enrichment for Literacy and Learning (BELL) R Academy helps
blind and low-vision children, develop the literacy and independent-living
skills that will empower them to achieve their academic goals and live the
lives they want. The program is offered free of charge to children ages four
through 12 years and runs for two weeks. We have many blind mentors who
volunteer their time for the academy as well as certified teaching staff.

 

We ask your support for this fund raiser. The name of this fund raiser
"Pennies from Heaven" is meant to convey the importance of every donation no
matter how small.  If you choose to and are able to  donate-thank you!
Donations will be used to support the NFBNJ BELL Academy and other
educational initiatives that help blind people grow into productive members

money matter!  Next time you find a penny, or some spare change put in in a
jar and focus on the positive things in your life. The National Federation
of the Blind of New Jersey is asking you to JOIN THE CHALLENGE!

We appreciate all the support we have received to date. We have reached over
