*Governor Murphy Announces Fare Holiday on NJ Transit*

On August 15th, 2024, Governor Murphy announced a transit fare holiday for
all customers from *August 26 through September 2, 2024*. During this
period, fares will be waived for all modes of transportation, offering free
rides across the NJ TRANSIT network as a "Thank You" to the hundreds of
thousands of loyal customers who depend on public transit. The fare holiday
is a way to express the sincere appreciation for customers’ continued
loyalty and patronage, particularly during the last few months when transit
service has not consistently met their expectations—or those of NJ TRANSIT.

*BIANJ Peer Mentor Program*

BIANJ Peer Mentors provide an alternative, and much needed, form of support
during the recovery process and transition back to the community. Volunteer
Peer Mentors (survivors and caregivers with personal brain injury
experience) are paired with survivors and caregivers who are newer to their
injury. They will lend their time and experiences to guide other families
and individuals through the path they once walked and continue to walk.
Peer Mentors instill hope, inspire resilience, and serve as beacons of
light in what can often be a daunting and isolating path to recovery.

If you are interested in volunteering as a BIANJ Peer Mentor OR in being
matched with a Peer Mentor, please fill out the form below.
