Committee Meeting Notes*

1.     Roll Call: There were 21 in attendance

2.     Welcoming Remarks:  Jane Degenshein, Cahir thanked our zoom host,
Miss Ruth and everyone for joining the call this evening. She Talked about
moving from division to committee, about Martin Luther King Day and the
content of our character. We need to hold that dear all year through when
helping others.

3.     NFB Pledge: Phil Harrison led in reciting the pledge

4.     Subcommittee reports:
 Ada and Jennifer both are reaching out each month to so many. Jane
applauded their efforts and asked others to do the same as the long winter
is here and many find themselves more shut in and without human voices.

5.     Senior committee book clubs:  All Attendees

6.     The book Club had 12 participants and was quite energetic.

7.     Next book The Measure DB 109475 ;     February 19 at 10 AM

9.     National Senior Retreat:
Sandy Halverson from Virginia and Jane Degenshein will be the speakers for
Tuesday afternoon’s Minnesota’s senior division meeting to discuss the
senior retreat.
Jane shared all the ways to learn on the virtual weeklong retreat.
If you need assistance for the fee, send Jane an email for consideration
Deadline is February 3, so the sooner, the better

10.  Brags and Drags: Round the room
We learned that some had difficult times regarding health issues over the
last month and others had delights to share including an upcoming wedding
and a new great grandchild.

11.  Final Remarks:
Jane reminded all to stay connected and reach out to others in need. The
next Senior Committee meeting is slated for Monday, February 19, 2024 at 7
Pm and the  Book Club at 10 AM
