Location: NFBNJ Zoom Platform

1. Roll Call: There were 38 in attendance.

2. Welcoming Remarks: Jane Degenshein, Chair
Jane reviewed the reasons we are now a committee versus a division. All
understood the need to pay yearly dues to join a chapter or the affiliate
to be a member of committees and groups. Soon there will be a membership
form and the choices of each committee and group will be listed there for
no cost to join.

3. NFB Pledge: Jimmy Vonderlinden led in reciting the pledge

4. Review of the tech portions of the state convention

5. Around the room

6. This was the bulk of our meeting time lasting about 50 minutes.
All attendees were invited to share a tech tip or ask their questions. A
lively discussion ensued and often members would answer another member’s
questions thus encouraging all to feel welcome. Some topics that needed
clarification were: Where is the raise hand in the zoom client as it is no
longer under the more? It can now be found under reactions. For those that
are deaf/blind, is there a way for the close captions to be invoked? Yes,
there is now an option by swiping to hear close captions and double tap
that while using your idevices There is also close captions if you use zoom
on your computer by tabbing to it and entering on it

7. Closing Remarks: Tony and Janie shared their thoughts for the
committee.

8. Our next meeting is slated for Monday, February 12, 2024 at 7 PM
