Spoken Heroes Parent and Family Support Group Meeting
Dear Spoken Heroes Supporters,
We are excited to announce that Spoken Heroes will be hosting our upcoming
Parent and Family Support Group meeting virtually on *September 15th at 5
PM EST*. This meeting is designed to bring together parents and family
members of individuals with disabilities, providing a platform to discuss
experiences, share resources, and explore ways to better support one
another as a community.
The meeting will be facilitated by *Ms. Khadeejha*

Program Director of Spoken Heroes and parent of our Founder and
President, *Steven
McCoy*

Our goal is to create a supportive and resourceful environment where
parents and families can connect, learn from one another, and build a
stronger community.
During the meeting, we will discuss what support looks like and explore
advocacy.
We'll focus on parent-to-parent support with a message of “being okay with
not being okay” We will also cover mental health resources, employment
resources, education resources, and volunteering and fundraising
opportunities. Finally, an open discussion will allow attendees to share
their thoughts, experiences, and questions.
If you know any parents or family members who might benefit from this
event, please feel free to forward this invitation and encourage them to
register. By joining forces, we can create more opportunities for those in
need and build a more resilient community.
