*Title: And to All a Good Bite (DB133033)*

Series: Andy Carpenter Novel

Author: David Rosenfelt

Reading Time: 6 hours, 22 minutes

Narrator: Grover Gardner

Subjects: Mystery and Detective Stories, Holidays, Family

Reluctant lawyer Andy Carpenter is looking forward to Christmas—not for the
holiday spirit, but for football season. He plans to relax and enjoy the
games, but his plans are interrupted when a murder tied to a past case
emerges in Paterson, New Jersey.

Two years earlier, a gas leak caused a devastating explosion in an office
building, killing seven people. Jeff Wheeler, who had arrived to pick up
his girlfriend, rushed inside to help. Guided only by the sound of barking,
he rescued a dog named Rufus—the sole survivor—and was hailed as a hero.

After the tragedy, Rufus was placed with the Tara Foundation, but Andy
later allowed Jeff to adopt him. The two formed a strong and lasting bond.
However, Jeff always suspected that the explosion was not an accident and
believed one of the building’s owners was responsible.

Now that the same owner has been murdered, Jeff has been arrested. With
Rufus left in the care of Jeff’s sister, she turns to Andy for help.
Remembering Jeff’s courage and driven by a sense of justice, Andy takes on
the case in hopes of proving Jeff’s innocence and reuniting him with Rufus.
