[Nfbo-announce] Announcing Rose City Chapter State Convention Scholarships

The Rose City Chapter is offering up to seven $100 scholarships to attend the 2013 National Federation of the Blind of Oregon State Convention, November 1 - 3, 2013 in Salem.

Q.  Who is eligable?
A.  Members of the Rose City Chapter as of September 20, 2013 with 2013 dues paid.

Q.  What do I have to do to apply?
A.   Send an email to Kirk Wagner, kwagner8197 at gmail.com, Rose City Chapter President.  Explain the reasons why you want a scholarship.  	   Describe your participation in the chapter and what you think you would get and give to the convention.

Q.  How will I know if I am selected?
A.  We will notify you by email and be sure you have your funds in time to register for the convention.

Q.  What are my responsibilities at convention?
A.  Register for the convention and stay a minimum of one night at the Mill Creek Best Western, the convention hotel.  You are encouraged to attend convention sessions beginning Friday afternoon and scheduled through noon on Sunday.  It is expected you would attend Sessions on Saturday, including the banquet Saturday evening and the business meeting Sunday morning.

Q.  After receiving my scholarship, what if I cannot attend or do not fulfill the responsibilities stated here.
A.  You would be expected to refund the scholarship to the chapter. 

Q.  What is the deadline for applying?
A.  Your email must be dated on or before October 10, 2013.
