Hello fellow chapter members,

If you missed the past couple of chapter meeting due to the holidays, you’ve
probably missed the announcement that some of our members are participating
in an experiemental dark café fund raiser launch on January 24 at 3. All
chapter members are encouraged to attend. If it is successful, we may turn
it into an annual event.

Here’s the idea: people will come to View Plus, the sponsor of the event,
to experience both low and high tech ways to adapt to blindness. We will
have cutting edge technology, games and other items there for exploration.
We will teach people about the cane and let them use them in the dark. They
will learn about blindness in a supportive and knowledgable environment this
way.

If you would like to help as a presenter/guide on January 24, please contact
us. Roles have not yet been assigned and we’d love your participation!
